Free Concert Featuring Anne Hills

Hampshire County Arts Council presents award-winning singer/songwriter Anne Hills in a free summer concert on the lawn at The Potomac Center in Romney, WV.
Singer, actress, writer, and musician Anne Hills has built a reputation of merit, earning numerous honors, including the 2002 Kate Wolf Memorial Award from the World Folk Music Association and The Kerrville Music Foundation’s Outstanding Female Vocalist of the Year Award in 1997.
“Anne Hills is such an exquisite singer," says Tom Paxton, "that it’s understandable that people might be swept up in the pure beauty of her voice and thereby overlook her writing. That would be a mistake. For me, Anne’s writing, in songs like ‘Follow That Road’ and many others, is as direct, melodic and deep as any work being done today. She is quite simply one of my absolute favorite songwriters.”
The Potomac Center, 1 Blue St. (follow signs for the hospital from WV Rt. 28/North High St.) Concerts move indoors if it rains. Lawn seating (bring folding chairs or blanket to sit on). Refreshments available. For more information visit http://www.HampshireArts.org or call 304-703-1350.
